- Abstract
The article discusses the use of the continuous vagal monitoring with automatic periodic stimulation technique in single-incision transaxillary robotic total thyroidectomy. It outlines a technical description of the method which involves patient positioning, retractor positioning and placement of the automatic periodic stimulation electrode. It also contrasts this method with the conventional intraoperative nerve monitoring (IONM) process.
