The author reflects on the process of selection use to determine reimbursement rates for genomic sequencing procedure (GSP) tests and services on the cost estimation for genomic analysis approximately $1,000 genome in computed tomography (CPT) codes. Information on pricing methodology discussed at the Annual Clinical Laboratory Fee Schedule Public Meeting hosted by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) held in Baltimore, Maryland on July 14, 2014 is also mentioned.
