- Abstract
The article focuses on decision of the U.S. Supreme Court in case Johnson v. Avery regarding the regulation as incompatible with inmates' federal habeas corpus rights. It mentions importance of jailhouse lawyers in an environment of illiterate prisoners and consequence of this prison regulation is that access to federal and state courts. It mentions the violation of Due Process and Equal Protection rights and First Amendment free-expression rights of inmates.
