- Abstract
The article reports on the efficient synthesis of cyclovirobuxine A from buxozine C and looks for an efficient catalyst that would react on reductive ring cleavage and amination. It presents the alkylation of 1,2-aminoalcohols by catalytic hydrogenation with platinum oxide and the palladized carbon as an important hydrogenation catalyst. It shows that reductive amination and ring cleavage of the alkaloid buxocine C with palladized carbon as catalyst yields cyclovirobuxine A.
