- Abstract
The article presents a study using growth chambers to compare atrazine (ATR) degradation profiles in soil rhizosphere from different forage grasses. It correlates ATR degradation rates and profiles with microbial activity with the use of soil enzymes. Results from the study suggest that all plants enhanced ATR degradation when compared with the control. Moreover, the incorporation of forage species to vegetative buffer strips (VBS) promotes degradation of ATR transported to VBS by surface transport.
