- Abstract
The article discusses the authority of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in protecting crowdfunding investors through escrow accounts. It urges the SEC to require crowdfunding entrepreneurs to put up capital contributions into escrow for the protection of investors. It recommends that the SEC use the escrow to buy out investors before expending all capital requirements that exceed a target offering.
