The article discusses a study on the existence of alpha- synuclein and cerebellar pathologies for patients with hereditary myoclonus-dystonia without epsilon-sarcoglycan (SGCE) mutations. Topics discussed include the development of neurodegenerative disorders, symptom of Purkinje cell abnormalities, and damage of the caudal intralaminar thalamus.
