- Abstract
The article presents a study on the effects of deforestation on the climate in the U.S. It mentions that the reasons which contributed in the climate change in the U.S. includes natural climate variability, increased volcanic activity and decreased solar activity. It highlights that despite the other factors, one of the main contributors to the climate change remains the clearing of forests for agricultural land and it led to cold temperatures in the eastern and central U.S.
