- Abstract
To reflect on the trans temporality of the principles of Florence Nightingale's Environmentalist Theory, focusing on the guidelines of the care model advocated by the Brazilian Unified Health System. This is a theoretical-reflexive study. Three axes were listed: Ambience: from the environmentalist theory to the current concept; Florence Nightingale's evidence-based praxis and The valorization and recognition of the effectiveness of relational technologies. In the evolutionary context of the caring process in Nursing, Florence Nightingale's Environmentalist Theory is current and a milestone in nursing in which its principles are pointed out in the guidelines of the Brazilian health care model, regarding Ambience, PBE in Nursing, quality of life and improvement of care to the person, which points to the trans temporality of this theory in professional praxis.
