- Title
SD-OCT reveals choroidal anatomy, variability.

- Abstract
The article discusses a study which reveals that spectral-domain optical coherence tomography (SD-OCT) is helping shed light on the pathophysiology of various chorioretinal afflictions. SD-OCT enables the exploration of the choroid, the tissue underneath the retina. In the group of normal eyes, a significant thinning of the choroid was noted in relation to age at all locations. In the highly myopic group, there was a big interindividual variation and a less pronounced decrease in thickness.
