- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 65-year-old man suffering from melena and chest pain due to anemia. Medical history includes type 1 diabetes mellitus, an acute coronary syndrome and pacemaker implantation. Topics discussed include performance of upper gastrointestinal endoscopy, proliferation of capillaries (A) with a mononuclear cell infiltrate (B) in the lamina propria and pyogenic granuloma.
