- Abstract
The article discusses the theories of contextualism and subject-sensitive invariantism (SSI), as well as their factivity problem. It claims that SSI's factivity problem emanates from third-person cases that can be described in a non-metalinguistic manner. It cites that the factivity problems arise because the theories seem to allow the speaker who lacks knowledge where such knowledge can be correctly attributed to another speaker.
