- Abstract
The article describes the case of a five-year old boy with a history of asthma, multiple episodes of emesis, repetitive vomiting, pruritic rash on the extremities and diarrhea. The patient showed positive skin test to fresh mint leaves and was diagnosed with delayed immunoglobulin-E (IgE)-mediated anaphylaxis. He was provided with a food allergy emergency action plan and epinephrine autoinjector. The differential diagnosis of food protein-induced enterocolitis syndrome (FPIES) is discussed.
