La Revolución rusa en la prensa murciana: de la desinformación a la manipulación.
- Authors

- Abstract
This paper aims at evaluating the role of the press as an opinion maker, focusing on public perceptions of the Russian Revolution in Murcia, by analysing the coverage given by two newspapers, one conservative and the other reformist, of the Spanish Restoration System. Political interpretations of such a transcendental fact in the history of humankind, loaded with ideological contents, prevailed and paved the way for two strands of proposals: counter revolution and reform. However, liberal reformism was outstripped by authoritarian conservatives. Only few voices called for the end of an exhausted regime sustained by the oligarchy and caciquismo.
