- Abstract
The article presents information on a study related to association of high mobility group protein HMGA2 overexpression with differential expression of microRNAs in uterine leiomyomas (UL). The method includes collection of fresh frozen UL from patients who had undergone a hysterectomy procedure. The results conclude that losses of chromosome 7q22 are associated with microRNA precursors miR-93 and miR-106b downexpression which lead to deregulation of target genes involved in ULs pathogenesis.
