- Abstract
Lynx for the reintroduction project are searched among German private breedings, in which most of the lynx were recently identified as of Siberian lynx origin (Krojerová-Prokesová et al., unpublished data). Eurasian lynx ( I Lynx lynx i ) reintroduction efforts during the second half of the 20th and beginning of the 21st century helped to recover this apex predator to several mountain areas in Western and Central Europe (Chapron et al. [4]).
