- Abstract
The article discusses how sleep disordered breathing (SDB) is different from attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). It discusses the primary snoring or obstructive sleep apnea as forms of sleep disordered breathing and adenotonsillar hypertrophy as primary cause of obstructive sleep apnea between the ages of 2 and 8 years. It suggests that psychostimulant treatment of a child with SDB may lead to more dysfunctional behavior and sleep disturbance.
