- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 37-year-old man with upper abdominal pain, fever, and macrohematuria who was taken to the emergency room of the community hospital. Topics discussed include results of diagnosis revealed thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura (TTP), despite the adoption of intensive resuscitation measures patient was pronounced dead, and findings of postmortem revealed activity of ADAMTS, a disintegrin and metalloprotease with thrombospondin motifs.
