- Abstract
The article highlights the long-term cognitive, social and psychological impacts of chronic illness such as congenital heart disease, along with information on symptoms of posttraumatic stress. It discusses the efforts of pediatric cardiology community to ensure improvements in health literacy and health outcomes of the families. It also focuses on several aspects of holistic care with emphasis on productivity, patient throughput and relative value units.
