- Abstract
Graph: Fig 1 a 2D-echocardiographic image through 4-chamber subcostal window showing calcified cardiac hydatid cyst in relation to posterobasal LV. b Cinefluoroscopy image demonstrating extensive myocardial calcification mimicking honey-bee eyes. c Cinefluoroscopy image showing extensive myocardial calcification mimicking a giant honey-bee. d Non-contrast CT-Thorax demonstrating extensive myocardial calcification Extensive myocardial calcifications are rare but have been described in medical literature. In our case, cine-fluoroscopy combined with CT-Thorax demonstrated extensive myocardial calcifications involving left ventricle myocardium in presence of a cardiac hydatid cyst.
