- Abstract
Studies several cases of distribution of Epstein-Barr virus in systemic rheumatic disease with associated dermatomyositis. Frequency of lymphadenopathy in patients with rheumatoid arthritis and systemic lupus erythematous; Analysis of several patients for the presence and distribution of Epstein-Barr Virus (EBV) cells using EBV-encoded small RNA specific in situ hybridization; Indication that the underlying immune deficits of patients with systemic rheumatic diseases (SRD) may also play an important role in the development of EBV-associated lymphoproliferative disorders in SRD.
