- Abstract
This article, titled "Diagnosis of adnexal lesions using ultrasound-based artificial intelligence," discusses the use of computer-aided diagnosis models to differentiate between benign and malignant adnexal lesions on sonographic images. The study utilized a combined segmentation model and unsupervised clustering to analyze a dataset of 133 adnexal lesions. The results showed that merging computer-extracted radiomic features with solid elements yielded a high accuracy in distinguishing between benign and malignant lesions. The authors suggest that further research is needed to automate solid assessments and validate the model in different patient cohorts.
