- Title
A Woman's Work is Never (Un-)Done: A Response to "Contemplating Women's Imperial Service: Mabel Bent as Photographer, Travel Writer, and Collector," by Esther Wetzel.
- Authors
LASCHINGER, VERENA
- Abstract
The article examines the overlooked contributions of Mabel Bent, highlighting how her work as a photographer, writer, and collaborator was overshadowed by her husband Theodore Bent in the context of British colonial rule. It addresses how Mabel Bent's significant role in documenting and contributing to colonial knowledge production was largely unrecognized due to gender biases, despite her substantial contributions.
