- Authors
RODATZ, CHRISTOPH
- Abstract
The book "Stages of Alter-Globalization: From the Image of the World to Spatial Theatrical Practice" by Leon Gabriel examines various aspects of Mechanical Theater and poetic perception. It analyzes productions and working methods of theater makers and demonstrates how moving objects are used in different forms of theater. The book offers a new contribution to research and emphasizes the complexity and openness of the subject. It refers to French post-structuralists such as Michel Foucault, Jacques Derrida, and Gilles Deleuze, and presents the concept of alter-globalization as a diversity of worlds that questions the idea of a unifying globalized world. The book requires a certain openness and willingness to engage with the Other.
