- Abstract
The article discusses methods science teachers can use to help students with common misconceptions about sinking and floating. An observation-based approach is considered, with the disadvantages listed by the author being difficulties observing some phenomena, inefficiency of some observations, and distorted observations based on prior misconceptions. To address these disadvantages, the author demonstrates how an approach based on the principles of science can be used as a solution.
