- Abstract
In this paper, a modified sericin containing active acryloyl groups (MSAA) was prepared by amidation reaction using acryloyl chloride and sericin as raw materials, and its structure was analyzed by FT-IR, fluorescence spectrum, zeta potential and 1H NMR. The results showed that the active acrylyl groups were successfully introduced into the molecular chains of sericin. Then, MSAA and an alkaline crosslinking agent 1,3,5-triacroylaminohexahydro-s-triazine (FAP) were combined to finish cotton fabric in alkaline condition. Under alkaline condition, the anti-wrinkle effect of cotton fabric could be improved by finishing with MSAA and FAP. By measuring the wrinkle recovery angle, it was found that with the increase of MSAA content, the anti-wrinkle effect of cotton fabric was obviousy improved, without significant impact on the strength and whiteness of the fabric. In addition, the dyeing property and ultraviolet resistance of the finished fabric could be apparently improved.
