- Abstract
Dear Editor: Corticosteroids have been routinely used in the management of brain tumours since the 1960s. With the intention of minimising corticosteroid exposure while optimising oedema control in the perioperative setting, we have developed a novel guideline for prescribing and tapering of peri-operative corticosteroids in paediatric neuro-oncology (Fig. The presence of hydrocephalus or oedema was associated with higher corticosteroid doses and longer tapers in our institution, similar to our international respondents.
