- Abstract
The idea of" world art" originated from Goethe's concept of" world literature" in the Age of Enlightenment, and the tolerance of national and cultural differences is a distinctive feature. Subsequently, Hegel reinterpreted the idea of" world art" in the view of" art as a whole" and tried for the first time to establish a whole historical system for the world history of art. The idea of" world art history" was thus elaborated for the first time. Due to the influence of Eurocentrism and narrow nationalism, the issue of human cultural differences and diversity were obscured, excluded and alienated in the exploration of" world art history". With the advent of multiculturalism, Western scholars have re-examined the issue of human cultural differences in the multidimensional interpretation and writing practice of" world art history" and" global art history" since the 20th century, and have confronted and recognized cultural differences from a neo-internationalist standpoint. In the practice of multidimensional interpretation and writing of "global art history," Western scholars have re-examined the issue of human cultural differences and have confronted and identified with cultural differences from a neo-internationalist standpoint. The different attitudes toward difference have always been an important entry point for understanding the idea of" world art history" in a particular period and the idea of world art history in a global perspective, i.e.", global art history".
