- Abstract
Introduction: National surveys have shown a direct relationship between HIV/AIDS infection in the elderly and color/race. When it comes to sexual practices among the elderly, it is observed that many elderly people use condoms and lubricating gel, committing themselves to the visions of safe sex. Thus, it is attributed that health professionals must identify and intervene in the context of coordinated prevention. Objective: to analyze the scientific evidence of black elderly technologies on combination HIV prevention. Method: Bibliographical, descriptive study, of integrative literature review, without temporal cut, with search of the scientific production in the Portuguese, English and Spanish languages, consulting Databases, using the descriptors indexed in Descriptors in Health Sciences (DeCS) and in the Medical Subject Headings (MeSH), separated by Boolean operators AND and OR. The results were organized by using the Zotero data and reference manager, enumerating and excluding duplicate productions, and by double-blind reading with two independent investigators, using the Rayyan software. Results: Four studies were selected, which showed positive effects for this population, whose consolidation of autonomy was demonstrated in most studies. In addition, the use of these technologies was essential in encouraging the use of condoms, minimizing risky behavior, increasing autonomy and providing more information about testing for HIV and other infections. Conclusion: The surveys show ethnic and racial disparities in the transmission of Infections, especially HIV/AIDS. It is urgently necessary to raise the racial debate by implementing combined prevention strategies to these elderly black people.
