- Abstract
The article is an interview with Mirta Zaida Lobato, an Argentine historian and PhD in History from the University of Buenos Aires. Lobato has focused her research on the world of work, working-class culture, gender relations, and working-class communities. The interview addresses the importance of incorporating historical subjects that were not considered in the official visions of historiography, and the need to use different types of historical sources to construct complex stories and communicate them to the public. The idea of modernity and progress in Latin American historiography is also discussed, as well as the importance of opening up to other disciplines and forms of knowledge.
