- Abstract
Objective To develop a portable environmental monitoring device for convalescence of the special service personnel to realize quantitative monitoring of the convalescence environment and early warning of abnormal conditions. Methods The portable environmental monitoring device had an embedded low-power design, used a self-developed main circuit board as the core unit and manipulated different sensor modules with a microcontroller to detect a variety of environmental factors. The body of the device was made of high-strength aluminum alloy, and the display was covered with special protective glass. The device had a high-capacity lithium battery pack (12 V, 25 Ah) as the power source. Results The device developed was capable of detecting 12 environmental factors simultaneously and the results had the accuracy and error both within reasonable ranges. Conclusion The device developed gains advantages in multi function, portability and stability, broadens the scope of monitoring the convalescent environment of special service personnel, enhances the special service support of the PLA and is worthy promoting practically.
