- Abstract
The article offers information on the occurrence of snake fungal disease (SFD) in Kentucky, which was identified as an emerging threat to snake populations in 2006. In 2014, a female Regina septemvittata (Queen Snake) was captured from Little Hickman Creek in Jessamine County, Kentucky, which showed visible skin abnormalities consistent with SFD, including several subcutaneous nodules and patches of thickened skin.
