- Abstract
This article presents case studies of patients suffering from dermatitis that showed generalised cutaneous reaction to diltiazem. Diltiazem, a calcium channel blocker used in cardiovascular disease, has occasionally been associated with severe cutaneous reactions including toxic epidermal necrolysis. A case of 32-year old woman was reported, in which the women experienced an erythematous rash on the front of the neck and abdomen after the usage of diltiazem. The case discussed, stressed on the usefulness of patch testing in patients with disseminated cutaneous reactions to diltiazem.
