- Abstract
The authors of the article express gratitude for the correspondence received regarding their recent study. They acknowledge the limitations of their study, including the lack of data on the timing and dose of aspirin. They agree that further subgroup analyses to evaluate the effects of low-dose aspirin in different patient populations would be valuable. The study found a small number of neonates with intracranial hemorrhage, but the study was underpowered to fully evaluate this outcome. Despite the limitations, the authors believe it is important to report the results given the large number of pregnant individuals eligible for low-dose aspirin. They also acknowledge the uncertainty surrounding optimal low-dose aspirin use in pregnancy and suggest that a randomized controlled trial evaluating different doses of aspirin would be beneficial.
