- Abstract
The article focuses on the role played by positive expiratory pressure (PEP) and inspirator muscle training (IMT) devices in primary care in Great Britain, and their benefit for patients with chronic lung diseases. Topics discussed include the impact of mucus hypersecretion in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), how to facilitate expectoration, and various devices, including Acapella Choice, RC-Cornet, and POWERbreathe. Also noted are the contraindications to using such devices.
