- Abstract
Dear Editor, Erythema gyratum repens (EGR) is a rare cutaneous paraneoplastic syndrome associated with internal malignancy.[[1]] EGR-like eruptions in the absence of internal malignancy have been reported in association with other dermatoses, such as systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE),[3] leukocytoclastic vasculitis,[3] psoriasis,[1] and others. Even though urticaria multiforme can be diagnosed clinically, the patient's extensive, unusual erythema gyratum-like presentation and lack of initial response to antihistamines prompted the need for further additional biopsies and workup. 1992; 26: 757 - 62. 3 Piqué E, Palacios S, Santana Z.
