- Abstract
The article presents articles from the November 17, 1906 issue of the "Journal of the American Medical Association." One article discusses newspaper stories that focus on needles entering the body of a person and being discovered at a later time. The author believed that more accurate attention should be provided to the phenomenon. Another article discusses a serum developed by Calmette to treat snake bites. It was found that this serum works only against venom from the bite of a cobra. The author remarks that antisera are often specific to a toxin.
