- Abstract
The article offers information on the animal drawing on an Egyptian prehistoric beaker and Egyptian bronze statuette depicting an African wild cat at the Cincinnati Art Museum. It states that the drawing is a horned quadruped which represents a gazelle or an aoudad, a wild sheep with a pair of long curved horns that is indigenous in North America. The bronze statuette is said to represent docile household cats which has a short muzzle and long tail.
