- Abstract
The article describes the case of a 22-year-old woman who was hospitalized due to progressive right lumbar pain and tumefaction, fever and malaise. She had a 12-year history of intermittent symptoms of urinary tract infection although her family history was negative for renal diseases. The computed tomography (CT)-guided percutaneous biopsy of the ill-defined retroperitoneal mass in contact with the psoas revealed clusters of histiocytes with ample granular eosinophilic cytoplasm.
