- Title
Special bed covers do not reduce need for steroids in asthma.
- Abstract
The article discusses the study which examines the impact of special bed covers to asthmatics. It aims to determine if the combination of bed covers and self-management plan could reduce the use of inhaled corticosteroids. The subjects were 126 adults with asthma as a result of house dust mite allergy. It concludes that house dust mite impermeable or placebo bed covers could not help reduce the need for inhaled corticosteroids.
