- Abstract
Learning points for clinicians Metastatic iris tumors are relatively rare. The median time interval from iris metastasis to death is reportedly 10 months.[2] Clinicians should be aware of findings pertaining to iris metastasis in patients with advanced systemic cancer. In a clinical survey of 3680 iris tumors, 21% of cases were morphologically cystic, with the remaining 79% being solid, consisting of 68% melanocytic tumors and 11% non-melanocytic tumors.[3] The use of AS-OCT may provide a detailed picture of iris tumors.
