- Abstract
The heat capacity of SmPO was measured by adiabatic calorimetry at 10-346 K. Thermodynamic functions of Sm orthophosphate at 10-1600 K were calculated based on our experimental and available literature data. The Gibbs energy of Sm orthophosphate formation is Δ G(298.15 K) − Δ G(10 K) = −1844.7 ± 2.4 kJ mol.
