Review: MRI is more sensitive but less specific than ultrasonography or spiral CT for diagnosis of hepatocellular carcinoma: COMMENTARY.

- Abstract
The article presents the author's views on a study that determines the accuracy of ultrasonography, spiral computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance, and alpha-fetoprotein in diagnosing hepatocellular carcinoma. He informs that in spite of having some spectacular improvisation in the treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma over the past 2 decades, only 10% of patients come forward for liver transplantation or surgical resection. This is because patients are a bit skeptic about the diagnostic accuracy of tools used for screening and surveillance.
