- Abstract
The article considers legislative decriminalization of juvenile misconduct, an underutilized method for juvenile justice reform. Topics discussed include ways in which decriminalization can prevent youth from entering the juvenile justice system; contemporary juvenile justice system and its damaging impact on youth; and over-criminalization and the school-to-prison pipeline.
