- Title
COMMUNITY CONTROL OVER CAMERA SURVEILLANCE: A RESPONSE TO BENNETT CAPERS'S CRIME, SURVEILLANCE, AND COMMUNITIES.
- Authors
Slobogin, Christopher
- Abstract
The author reflects on the article entitled "Crime, Surveillance and Communities" by law professor Bennett Capers, regarding camera surveillance of public spaces under the U.S. Constitution Fourth Amendment and related benefits to communities to deter police brutality and racial profiling. He explains that such kind of surveillance would permit members of the public to see what a camera captures which may violate the U.S. Constitution First Amendment due process rights of locomotion.
