- Abstract
A 43-year old Brazilian man with a previous diagnosis of HIV with CD4+ T-cell count of 57 cells/mm SP 3 sp presented with progressive headache. I Aspergillus i probably colonized the excavated nodule of pulmonary cryptococcosis; the pulmonary cryptococcosis acted as the underlying lung disease risk factor for CPA. Chronic pulmonary aspergillosis (CPA) is an emerging disease caused by fungi of the genus I Aspergillus i , and is mainly characterized by progressive cavitation and fibrosis.
