- Abstract
A series of BaPbFeO/polypyrrole composites have been prepared to investigate the effects of interface and doped lead on microwave absorption. While the synthesis, characterization, and data obtained are consistent with contemporary research, further insights, not previously observed, have been revealed in the present work. In particular it is noted that reflection is essential for increasing reflection loss. Indeed, by correlating reflection loss to the dielectric loss tangent, it is demonstrated that reflection loss can be increased by reflection with doped ions in ferrites and the interface in composites if the microwaves penetrate into the material since absorption and reflection take place simultaneously. In addition it is shown that the dielectric absorption is more important than the magnetic absorption of the composites for absorption from forced non-resonance oscillation. Compared with resonance absorption, information for non-resonance dielectric absorption is important in creating a continuous broader absorption band-width.
