- Abstract
The article focuses on the quantify false-positive septic shock pathway activations for patients in the emergency department and determine whether there was a change in false-positive rates over time. It mentions the rate of false-positive activations increased over time alongside implementation of sepsis detection and treatment initiatives; and also mentions the commonest causes of false-positive activation were simple infection and noninfectious respiratory failure.
