- Abstract
The article discusses a study which investigated the frequency of vaccine-induced seropositivity/reactivity (VISP) in human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) vaccine in trial participants. The researchers used three common U.S. Food and Drug Administration-approved enzyme immunoassay (EIA) HIV antibody kits. It was found that there was a variation in the occurrence of VISP across different HIV vaccine product types. Results suggested an association between development and detection of VISP and the immunogenicity of the vaccine and the EIA assay used.
