- Abstract
This article discusses a study which examined the thermal and rheological properties of poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA)/water-soluble chitosan (ws-chitosan) hydrogels. The study employed pure irradiation and pure freeze thawing in preparing the hydrogels. It found a reduction in the crystallinity of PVA by irradiation. It also showed the shear-thinning behavior of the hydrogels.
